Ruth Ann Bradley

Ruth Ann Bradley, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT), a Certified Yoga Therapist (CYT) and is the founder and owner of the Yoga Institute of Broward. Through the studio, in public classes and private lessons, Ruth has helped countless students find health and balance in their lives through the practice of Iyengar yoga. Ruth’s knowledge of the body and her teaching style make the Yoga Institute one of the most successful yoga studios in Broward County.

Her interest in yoga was sparked at an early age. After suffering numerous broken bones in her leg, ankle and foot from a horse racing accident in 1985, Ruth Ann turned to her yoga practice for relief and recovery. However, with the arthritic changes and degenerative condition of her ankle through the years, she had a Total Ankle Replacement in 2013.

She is an inspiration to all that meet her and proof that a yoga practice can help us to endure life challenges with equanimity and poise. Her knowledge gained from her personal physical journey and her background as a licensed massage therapist for over 25 years greatly enhances her ability as a yoga instructor.

In addition to her travels to Pune, India to study directly with the Iyengar family, she continues her studies with Senior Iyengar yoga teachers from around the country.

Marilyn Rubin

Marilyn Rubin is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) and has been teaching since 1989. Scoliosis and severe back pain brought her to Iyengar yoga after many years of dancing and aerobics. At the same time she began her yoga studies, Marilyn became interested in the healing arts, meditation and pursuing a spiritual practice. Yoga fit right in with her endeavors.

She initiated several Iyengar programs in the Miami area such as The Pritikin Longevity Center, The Premier Health Club, One Island Condominium and La Mer. She is a warm, compassionate, attentive teacher, enthusiastic, strong practitioner and has a great sense of humor and purpose. When not teaching yoga Marilyn is playing tennis, practicing the piano, studying and enjoying life.

Vindra Maharaj Roy

Vindra Maharaj Roy is Certifed Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT), and a Certified Yoga Therapist (IAYT).She has been practicing Iyengar yoga since 1993 and has been teaching since 2000. She is grateful to have studied with the Iyengar family several times both in the US and in Pune, India. She credits her teachers, especially Colleen Gallagher, Gloria Goldberg and Manouso Manos whose example has inspired her to continue on her path.

Her unique caring experience as a dentist in the past 30 years is reflected in her teaching. Her joy and dedication for yoga guides the student along the path to “Self” discovery and inner peace.

Stephanie Weisenberg

Stephanie Weisenberg is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) and a practicing attorney. She has been a student at the Yoga Institute for 19 years. Stephanie was drawn to the practice of yoga for its ability to help her maintain a healthy body and mind and attain balance and peace amidst change and the stressors of life. She enjoys motivating students to progress and experience the ease that comes from a committed yoga practice. Some of her favorite books include Autobiography of a Yogi, and the Bhagavad Gita.

Nivine Rophael

Nivine Rophael began teaching yoga in 2014, after completing her 500-hr teacher training with Cyndi Lee, and graduated as a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) in 2018. She believes Yoga is a powerful healing force that transforms pain, and credits Iyengar Yoga specifically with healing her spinal injuries and enabling her to live with ease, after suffering from chronic pain for many years. Her classes are fun and energetic and her patient, methodical style of teaching works well with both beginners and more seasoned yogis. She encourages students towards continuous progress, regardless of ability level. She is also studying Ayurveda digestion, which gives her the ability to help integrate diet and yoga practice into a complete wellness program.
